The Master is a joint program leaded by the faculties of “Banking, Financial and Insurance Sciences” and “Economics”, in collaboration with Sportmaster Consulting.

It is held in English, with the support of numerous operators in the sector, in order to ensure a suitable preparation to enter the professional world. The Master’s course lasts one academic and provides 74 credits ECTS, equal to 1.750 hours.

Program structure

Classes begin in January and run until July from Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm.

Attendance is mandatory.

From July to December, the Master’s program includes a final assessment phase, which involves developing a report and delivering a final presentation. This project is based either on an assignment provided at the end of the coursework or on the internship experience carried out by the student within a sports-related organization.

Those who have completed the planned training course and passed the relevant exams will be awarded the title of first-level University Master in Sports Management: Business, Communities, Territories.

During the first two editions of our Master in Sport Management, we formed international top talents that entered the sport industry.

Requirements

The Master is addressed to candidates graduating or graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in different backgrounds.

The Master aims to train young professionals in the various disciplines involved in running a sport business, with particular attention to governance, marketing strategies, media and technology, human resources and followers’ management, financial and legal aspects, soft skills.

Università Cattolica will evaluate candidates’ academic and personal background, making sure they meet the specific conditions for admission.

about Advanced Training for Sport Directors

Advanced training program for sports directors

Sportmaster Consulting, in collaboration with ASDS (Associazione dei Direttori Sportivi della Svizzera) and SUPSI, is proud to present a High-Level Training Course designed for sports directors and professionals aiming to significantly impact the sports system, particularly in football.

This annual course, launching in the first quarter 2026, features a carefully crafted curriculum that prioritizes academic excellence, practical application, and real-world insights.

Key Features of the Course

Comprehensive Curriculum: The program offers a 360-degree overview of the key competencies required to succeed as a sports director.

Blended Learning Format: The program combines in-person sessions (approximately 120 hours across 20 days, 6 hours each) with online learning (around 80 hours over 40 days, 2 hours each, offered either synchronously or asynchronously). This format is specifically designed to align with the schedule of sports competitions.

Hands-On Learning: Strong emphasis is placed on field experiences, case studies, simulations, and guided visits to sports centers and stadiums.

Expert Faculty & Testimonials: Participants will learn from a distinguished faculty, including professional coaches, experienced sports directors, sports law specialists, marketing and communication professionals, and financial analysts.

Modular Structure:

The course is divided into five core modules, allowing participants to tailor their learning experience to their specific interests and needs:

Certification: Each module awards a certificate in accordance with SUPSI guidelines.
